Reduse, Reuse, and Recycle
Currently in Literature, us 7th grade students are working on a project called Environmental Education. We are learning about our Earth and how to make it a better place to live for us, animals, plants, and all creatures. So many people cause and use way too much water, litter, pollution, waste, energy, trees, plants, and so much more. That's why this month I'm trying to be a green as I can. Easy skills could be: going outside your house and pick up litter, bring with your own bag to the grocery store, don't let the water run when you brush your teeth, or turn off the lights when needed. When taking a bath or shower, don't use so much water! Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle! When packing your lunch for school, don't use a paper bag! Buy a reusable lunch box from a nearby store! All of this doesn't just benefit us, it also causes the habitats and wildlife to change. So many people are ruining our own forests and beautiful land features, we don't even notice! If we keep up all this madness, eventually there wont be any wildlife left! In Minnesota and Wisconsin, there are so many different animals and plants that are endangered. Including, the gray wolf, elk, bald eagle, wood turtle, timber rattlesnake, rat snake, snapping turtle, gopher snake, paddle fish, yellow bass, lake sturgeon, and many many more! We as the people of our world need to put a stop to all of this. We are the future, and we need to make a difference.
